2008 Marin Wolf Ridge Medium

Hi there,

Got my 2008 Marin Wolf Ridge frame for sale. This is for the frame only (no shock is included) plus a spare brand new mech hanger, rear maxle and 3 spare bearing cover caps. I will include the Hope headset for an extra £20. The lower link was replaced with a brand new one the middle of last year. There are no cracks anywhere.

Frame size is medium, bottom bracket size is 68mm, seat post size is 30.9mm, seat clamp size is 34.9 and the rear axle is 12x135mm. Both dropouts are replaceable and I think quick release dropouts are available if you want them. The head tube is for forks with a 1 1/8th steerer. The shock size needed is 190x50mm.

The frame is very nice to ride, extremely confidence inspiring on the descents. Maybe doesn't climb as well as some XC frames but it more than makes up for this on the downs. It pedals well, I never bothered to use the Propedal on my shock because it just didn't need it. With the right build this will tackle anything. I've done uplift days, Enduro races and 50km XC rides on this bike and it handled them all.

That's all the good stuff. Now for the bad stuff. The paint work is a bit shabby but this bike has been used for its intended purpose so this is to be expected. The bearings would benefit from being replaced, again, to be expected for a bike of this type really. Also I think the swing arm is very slightly misaligned (and I mean very slightly, it isn't very noticeable, I had to get the callipers out to check and it still wasn't very obvious) but this could also just be because the bearings are a bit worn.

The asking price includes the spare mech hanger, maxle and spare bearing caps but the Hope headset is £20 extra.
