thanks bud, am I right in thinking that the slackest you can make the 2010 frame is 61 degrees?
so mines actually set tighter than stock?

I was running mine at +1 when I had one and to me it was perfect. If you have an iPhone you can download an app called Angle Meter and you can measure the head angle by holding your phone on the stanchion. Mine measured to 63,1 or something with a 888 set in the middle of what was possible.

Has anyone got any good base or finalised settings for their DHX RC4 equipped summum? Just for comparison's.

Also want to know! Smile

what's your weight and what spring are you using?

Settings:
Spring - 500lb/in
Preload - 1 turn
Rebound - 4 clicks from max
Low speed comp - 8 clicks from min
High speed comp - 6 clicks from min
Bottom out - 1.5 turns from min
Pressure - 160psi

I use 350 spring. 76kg with gear. No clue what so ever on the settings.

most of that won't be much help then but maybe worth a try on clickers just to try out..?

As for head angle, I found standard cups with Fox40's best and would run them either fully dropped through / flush with the top clamp or bring them up 5-10mm depending on track. I ran the 64 cups for a while but didn't like it & any slacker felt lazy in tight turns and fork felt like it wasn't as good on jumps.

On the back end I used 440mm on most UK tracks, 445mm @ Fort William and in the Alps

Hi All,
does anyone know if I can remove and replace the upper linkage (the 2 triangles that connect to the shock) without specialist tools?

if so, is it pretty easy? or something I should take to a shop if im not confident with it?
thanks

Very easy. Two 5mm allen keys is all you need. Just unscrew both sides simultaneously.

As for the bolts that keep the rockers and the swingarm together, just unscrew them with the same 5mm keys. Keep in mind though, you'll have to turn the key right to loosen them.

can anyone tell me which ti springs fit the 2013 summum as the shock space seems to have become smaller than on my old 2012 and the ti spring I was running on that with a ccdb is too large outer diameter

i'm running the standard rc4 on the 2013 which I believe has a 222 x 70 shock instead of the 241 x 76 on the 2012

any help appreciated

Cane Creek springs fit Fox shocks, but not the other way round. You need a 36mm OD, 2.75" spring.

Hi All.

First post on Pinkbike...

Just got a 2nd hand 2011 summum anniversary edition pro team frame.

A few questions...

One of the shorter pivot bolts above the BB mashed out when I took it out with a massive creaking sound. It sounded like titanium galled into aluminium?! Would anyone know if the bolt hardware on the anniversary edition pro teams are in fact titanium? Or just anodised aluminium that looks like titanium?

I am having problems getting the M10X15 bolts as Silverfish are out of stock. http://www.silverfish-uk.com/ProductDetail/0/12610/Pivot-Bolt-M10x15

Does anyone know another place to get them or even a bolt of similar nature from any bolt/fastener supplier that I could get some from instead? Must be some similar type bolts out there that can fit...

I have some 2012 boxxer R2C2's or 2010 boxxer WC that I can put on this build. So need to decide if I will go coil or air Smile I prefer the 2012 damper and considering frankenstiening the 2010 air leg on the 2012's who knows lol.

Next question - is it best to run the flat top crown with the boxxers or use the drop crown? Wondering what difference in BB height this would achieve between them?

I can't complete the build and try all this as the zero link and rockers are in my LBS to have all the shot bearings taken out. Hopefully not seized in like the bolts were!

Anyone got any base settings for the DHX RC4? Frame is a large and i'm about 170lbs

Cheers all

I'm having the exact same problem with the 10x15 pivot bolts. I stripped one and they're not available from the Polish distributor either.

Also, I'm 95% sure these bolts are aluminium.

O+

Yes, they are alloy. That's why they seem like they are made of cheese. Originally they were offering a steel replacement on warranty if you pushed hard enough. Being as Silverfish are the UK distributor for Mondraker in the UK if they can't get them it's going to be a struggle to find a set.

Nightmare then.

Does anyone know what pitch the threads are on these bolts?

maybe use something like this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00AM85RXU/?tag=leprice053-21

Think I may have to get something similar and work out another way of bolting the rear end on.

Has anyone had any joy using specialized FSR bolts or anything else from any other manufacturer?

hey all,
I got my 2010 summum used and im keen to get some replacement parts while they're easy to get.
assuming I lost every single bolt for my frame and shock, would these 3 kits be all I need?

http://www.silverfish-uk.com/ProductDetail/0/10776/Upper-Link-Kit-3
http://www.silverfish-uk.com/ProductDetail/0/12607/Lower-Link-Kit-1
http://www.silverfish-uk.com/ProductDetail/0/10783/Shock-Bolt-Kit-2
or would I need additionals?

thanks Smile
