Thought a thread sowing off all the different types of GoPro mounts that people use may be interesting, whether they are bought or home made, post them up.
Feel free to put up short clips so we can see how the footage from them looks.

I was bored yesterday so made a mount from an old stem which happened to be the perfect size for my seat post.
Not tested it out yet but did try and offset it slightly to avoid getting covered in water/mud.

Also have one on the BB. Luckily the Session has a perfectly flat piece of frame to stick the mount on. Can only use this one on dry days though as it would soon get covered in mud in the wet.

And finally a chest mount that I made from the head mount by adding shoulder straps made from an old carry bag strap.

Had a go at helmet mount that faces the rider from in front but decided it was going to be too much weight on the helmet. (got a bad neck from snowboarding induced whiplash)

So, lets see your mounts.

This thread is way to quiet!

Just got in my new GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition en decided to make a simple mount from a piece of 2mm carbon fibre i had laying around.

Cut it using a electric jigsaw and sand it down (not quite perfect):

(normally i’d CNC this part but it was easy enough to make by hand)

Plate mounted on the bike:

Looks great, large part of the image will be filled with your leg but its a great angle for variation and a good look at the rear suspension. Of course you can mount it backwards! No troubles hitting the camera with your foot.

Hope to make some footage soon! Please share some more inspiration!

Great looking mount. Hope to see this in stores (I don’t have any carbon fibre lying around). If you sold this mount, you could get a lot of money.
