Finally got my CCDB coil fitted after some machine work on the lower eyelet. Bike rides quite differently with the 200x57 shock. Just need to get the shock set up now.
Yes they are 160mm pike as its a SX Advanced. Had a DB inline before on it that was 200x51 which was ok but I killed it in the Megavalanche. This feels as supple but need to set it up properly as only done one ride. Found myself hitting the pedals a few times but guess I need more preload on the spring.
Nice bike and welcome to the coil club! I wouldn't mind having one of those CCDB coils that is for sure!

It works great around here since it is dry all the time. I was using Specialized Butcher front and Slaughter rear before and wanted to try these out since they could be had cheaper from Germany. They ride very similar but are a little more voluminous. I would say the grip is slightly better on the Schwalbes and the Specialized roll a little faster. If the Schwalbes last a year then I will stick with them.
Hi! I have a 2015 Giant Trance 27.5 3 Large. Just wanna ask if i can upgrade to a Fox Suspension 34 Talas O-C Forks - 160mm front and a Fox Suspension Float CTD for the rear.

Any recommendation would be appreciated.
Thanks
Yea can do that. Current Giant Trance models use the overdrive system (popular tapered 1.5" - 1.125" headset/steerer) and most modern forks use that as standard (including the Fox 34). As for the shock you may need new bearings but I think you'll be ok.
I finally got a chance to put some miles on the bike after converting to 160. I feel like the bike climbs better, maybe its just preference but I feel the bike steers/tracks better with the bigger fork up front. Descents are a dream, went off some bigger 4 1/2-5ft drops and the bike took it very well. Cant complain! Do you guys think that the new 2016 Fox Float X2 has enough clearance/compatible with the Trance? I have a medium frame '14 Trance and was thinking of upgrading the stock shock. Thanks
