So, I have an old scavenged shogun roadie, and the driveline took a huge dump, so it's been sitting doing nothing. (think derailer into the spokes, chain turned to a pretzel, drop-outs tweaked to hell, etc) The other night, I snagged an OLD OLD OLD schwinn road bike out of a dumpster, and the driveline looks great (unlike the rest of the bike), so I have been trying to move the parts over.
One of the last things I have to do is remove the cranks, but this happened Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y402/UU92/0420142040_zpsbd3a920a.jpgThe crank arm tool PULLED THE THREADS OUT OF THE ARM this thing is jus hella stuck, and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Anyone got any ideas? I want this crank with the sprocket cage, the sprocket on my shogun is bent, so I'd like to keep it in one piece.
so... I tried Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s59/KSPbox/other%20stuff/0421141424_zps3628c3e9.jpg and subsequently failed Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s59/KSPbox/other%20stuff/0421141425_zpsd65702be.jpg I just gave up. That was with a blowtorch, and a hammer assisting, too, that crank isn't going ANYWHERE.
I'm just "stuck" with a single front chainring, now. It'll be fine. Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s59/KSPbox/other%20stuff/0421141812_zpsc66b00cd.jpg
