Need Advice For New Bike!

Hello everyone! I am looking into buying a new bike and am on a very tight budget (about $800 max) so, i am looking into used bikes. I am looking to get into downhill and either need some full suspension bike or a hardcore hardtail that's not gonna break on some rough trail and small jumps/drops. The problem is i cant find a full suspension that not 5 years old and beat to crap for my price range and the hardtails i have seen and then researched dont seem to be able to withstand that. I am open to any recommendation, thank you!

You aren't going to get a downhill bike for that price and you might get a all mountain bike that's less than the year 2000.

Ok, what about an aggressive hardtail, maybe custom?

Mmmm. You might be able to get a Canadian tire and maybe upgrade the fork.
