Specialized Command post not locking in the lowest position

Hi!
Has anyone had the above issue? I've swapped out the cable and housing as a first step to trying to figure out why it won't lock. It's also worth mentioning that it works well in the middle and top positions, it locks, and doesn't creep either up or down.
I know there's an awesome tech tuesday article on the command post but i want to ckeck if anyone knows for sure what could be wrong with it before opening it up.

Sounds like you need to do a full tear down. It's pretty straight forward. My guess is gunk and grease have collectively made their way to the bottom and packed up enough to block the collet from expanding or stopping in the place it needs to be. It can't hurt to break it open and find out.
