Merida big nine crack on top tube?

Have had a merida big nine for about 2 years now, very nice quick bike bought it for taking around the world with me but never bothered...

its only done about 200 miles from new as my other bike is so much more versatile


whats peoples thoughts on this? lbs told me its fine..

The integrity of the tube is definitely affected by the crack.
It will always increase in size, due to the nature of a crack.
I would contact the manufacturer, to seek their advice.
It needs to be addressed.
I studied fabrication, welding and NDT. The prognosis is, crack will propagate. Result will be eventual failure of tube.
May take a while, may not be dramatic but cracks never stop growing.
