When sourcing parts for a build or an upgrade, bike standards are giving me headaches...

There is always a shittily stupid compatibility issue waiting for you at every corner.

Not to mention that I recently read somewhere that there here are now 3 BB tool standards (for modern BB) from Shimano alone and that each one requires a different tool...Rolleyes

I hate that. It's why I have like 3 different BB tools. Why can't everyone settle on one.

2 different hollowtech tool style ones. The normal, and a smaller one (the BB's with the smaller diameter come with an adaptor ring so your normal hollowtech tool fits)

And pressfit.

Just like in other similar matters, where people tries to fool themselves (and perhaps others as well) to believe so, in lieu of having bigger equipment, it is also not so in this case.
