New East Coast Race Series Offers $25,000 in cash and prizes

Vernon, N.J., March 1, 2005 - The Diablo Freeride Park in Vernon, New Jersey has announced a new east coast downhill series that will offer an unmatched product package & cash purse for the 2005 race season. Building upon the successful U.S. Open of Mountain Biking format, the Diablo Domination Series will utilize an expanded version of the ‘Open’ format featuring 4 events throughout the course of the 2005 season. This unique series will implement 3 event classes per race and is designed to provide up-and-coming racers a fast-track to progression while offering experienced racers a highly competitive series with huge payouts.

• ‘Intro Class’ –Intended for less-experienced mountain bikers that are looking to enter the downhill race scene in a less intimidating, less competitive environment
• ‘Amateur Class’ – For up-and-coming ‘sport’ and experienced ‘expert’ level racers looking to progress their skill and vie for huge product payouts
• ‘Open Class’ – Intended for top-level ‘expert’ and professional racers interested in showcasing their skills and cashing-in at one of the nations highest paying series

Open Class competitors will be treated to a sizeable cash purse that rivals any other purse payout in the nation. Pro winners will battle for a guaranteed $500 first place payout per event with payouts continuing 5-deep. The overall series champions will be rewarded with a $1000 bonus and bragging rights by winning the most innovative grass-roots downhill series in the nation.

Top finishing amateur racers will be rewarded with impressive top-dollar product packages and valuable series points where an overall champion will be crowned in October. Series champions will also receive huge product bonuses and an automatic bump to Open class status for the 2006 season.

A new race course will be designed & built for each event but will all share a common finish on the epic ‘lower section’ of the U.S. Open course. Other than the 2005 U.S. Open of Mountain Biking, this will be the only other time this section will be open to the public.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of what will become a classic longstanding east coast series.
