IF Unveils Their Prototype FS Frame at Interbike

I thought this bike would be worth mentioning. With the help of Dave Weagle, Independent Fabrication has recently entered the full suspension market with a new prototype bike that features the dw-link.Just like IF’s line of hardtails, this new frame has the same great features and exotic looks. Some of these features include the legendary IF shot peened, butted Titanium front triangle, a custom butted 6061-T6 rear triangle, and a tuned dw-link suspension system with a shock that floats between its upper and lower links. As prototype testing continues Dave will be applying more computer aided structural analysis to the frame which will refine it even more.

So far reports are that this new bike’s performance is quite impressive, especially in the area of acceleration. The dw-link is designed allow a rider to pedal very efficiently over roots and rocks while maintaining a high level of traction and handling. Time will tell if this is the XC bike to conquer all, and Pinkbike will be there to tell you all about it as the story unfolds!
