Eastern States Cup 5: Mount Snow

This week the 2013 Eastern States Cup visited Mount Snow in West Dover, Vermont. For the first time this season the rain was not in attendance, which is good because the track has very flat pedally sections that are slow to begin with. That being said fitness was key this weekend with really tight times coming over the line in all categories.

These ruts on the step-up were deeper than they look.

The top stretch of the track is out in the open, and littered with square rocks that want to ruin your day. There were 8 DNF's in the results, I'm guessing most came from the first 20 seconds of the about 4 minute track. At least it's a short walk back up to the lift...
