I thought everyone looked like they were going kinda slow... I obviously don't have any idea what the track surface was like traction wise (looks like it could hve been a bit greasy, and the grass clumps could be fun with a bit of water on the aye) and it's certainly a rocky course to say the least, but I expected them to be going a bit harder/faster. Although at the begining of the vid that gal looked like she was hauling ass aye. That's awesome for her to win AND beat out a chunk of the mens field. She's gotta feel fast after a result like that. Good for her.
There have always been "fast" women riders, but it sure is cool to see the numbers increase and see these younger gals coming up over the years. Having been riding for 25+ years, this is a somehwat new and good thing (again, NOT that there haven't always been fast women riders, but never have there been so MANY of them and def. not this young!). As we get more and more women/girls into the sport at younger and younger ages, they'll just keep pushing the sport and going faster and faster. I doubt that women will ever top men in terms of over-all speed and what not, but its amazing to see how quickly the women riders are catching up to the men year by year.
