BTI announces authorized Commencal dealer program-world Champion DH and XC bikes come to US shores

BTI is seeking a few good dealers to introduce the Commencal brand to the US market. Pro riders like Cedric Gracia have racked up an impressive list of world championship wins on Commencal bikes since the brand came on the scene in 2000. While this visibility has fueled strong sales in 30 countries (worldwide more than 10,000 bikes were sold last year) it was only recently that the company from the landlocked principality of Andorra has established a beachhead on this side of the pond. This year through an exclusive partnership with global supplier BTI, Commencal is finally poised to take the USA by storm.Whether you are into XC, DH, 4X, Dirt Jumping, Super D or just looking for a bike that will turn heads on the trail, you're likely to find what you are seeking in Commencal's '08 lineup. The bikes' frames are chock full of drool worthy features at an eye opening price point. For enthusiasts, the appeal of these bikes is in the engineering; Oliver Bossard, one of Formula 1's luminaries, lent his expertise to the development of the bikes' geometry.

Standout features include a radical head tube design that provides quick-change front fork angles and a rear suspension linkage design called the Contact System that offers a tunable progressive spring curve. This trick configuration, available on even the most budget conscious fully suspended Commencal bikes, allows the rider to fine tune the characteristics of the bike setup for different terrain.

Adding to the '08 lineup's appeal, BTI is making available many of the same frame designs ridden to the podium by World Champion Riders like Cedric Gracia, Remy Absalon, Anne Caroline Chausson and the Athertons. These bikes are available complete with SRAM/Shimano, Fox, Race Face and Marzocchi components or sold as frames only.

BTI has been aggressively courting the op-ed crowd this spring, enlisting bike reviewers from top consumer publications and the blogosphere. Throughout the '08 season the company will be trailering a fleet of demo bikes to events and bike shops to get the word out. Look for full page ads in select magazines.

Now is the Time to Get on Board-
BTI is currently creating exclusive dealer territories for the Commencal line throughout the US, Central America and South America. Commencal's Authorized Dealer Program (ADP) is available to any active dealer, though they must meet qualifying terms. BTI offers an affordable buy-in and many additional incentives to participating bike shops. A dedicated sales team has been created within BTI to support the development of Commencal's brand in the US. Interested dealers are invited to contact Commencal Brand Manager Mark Gullo. 800 558-8324 or mgullo@bti-usa.com.
