Strive for the Podium – this is the mission of the Canyon Factory Enduro Team and its partners. Now in their third season, the CFET is one of the dominant players in the global enduro scene. All four outstanding riders, Fabien Barel, Joe Barnes, Ines Thoma and Ludo May complement each other perfectly, so much so they often seem more like a family than a professional racing team.

From the very beginning Ergon ( @ergonbike ) has been been supporting the CFET, using the team as a crucial step in the Ergon product development process. The CFET team has helped to bring the Ergon gravity and enduro products to the podium and to retailer shelves; SME3 saddles, GE1 and GA2 grips, the BE1, BE2 and BA3 backpacks, as well as the HE2 and HA2 gloves. The best way to test and develop products is to use them in the toughest races and conditions on the planet. The CFET continues to provide the Ergon research and development team with valuable insight and gives the products a test to the absolute limit.

The team returns extremely motivated for the 2015 season and is ready to line up at the start of the world’s biggest races, such as the Enduro World Series, SRAM Specialized Enduro-Series, Megavalanche, Trans Provence, and the Enduro Roc d´Azur.

The 33 year-old Frenchman is a natural leader and sets the bar for the rest of the team through his professionalism. His meticulous preparation, passion, competitive spirit and constant search for perfection have made Fabien into the legend that he is. Throughout 2013 he proved that he is still one of the fastest riders in the world. While piloting his Strive AL he snapped up four podium spots and third place in the overall rankings in the Enduro World Series. He also rode his Spectral AL to third place at the 2013 Trans Provence. Recovering from a back injury in 2014, Fabien is looking to stand atop the podium once again in 2015.

Joe Barnes
Without Joe the Canyon Factory Enduro Team simply would not be the same. The zany Scot and self-appointed “Top Chief” made a huge impact on the 2014 Enduro World Series. Wherever the “Dudes of Hazzard” founder pops up, you can be sure that something will be going down. With consistent Top 10 performances throughout the last 2 season, Joe is sure to be a podium threat at the 2015 Enduro World Series.

Ines Thoma
Universally regarded as Germany’s fastest female enduro rider, Ines perfectly embodies the motto, “strive for the podium” each and every weekend. Her past achievements speak for themselves: 4th overall in the Enduro World Series, 1st at Megavalanche La Réunion, and the unofficial European Champion. This tough and vivacious Bavarian will be aiming high in 2015, we cannot wait to see what she will accomplish!

The 24 year-old Swiss stands out not only due to his impressive hair and rock star attitude, but also because of his rapid racing style, which means the competition should get a good view of at the back of Ludo as he charges down the mountain. Ludo has had success on the gravity scene for a number of years now, predominantly in downhill, and brings with him a skill set that every racer must possess. This year he has a clear goal to break into the Top 10 in the Enduro World Series, something that this ambitious trail ripper will be sure to achieve, as speed when pushing the limit is what drives him.
