iXS Dirt Masters Festival is Here

The time has finally come. This weekend, the best riders from Germany and all over the world will travel to Winterberg to enjoy some action at the Mountain Bike Gravity Event. As in previous years, many of the top riders from Downhill, Fourcross and Slopestyle are expected to attend the Festival in 2015.


This might still be news to you, but Warsteiner is now an official partner of the iXS Dirt Masters Festival. In addition to a large presence in the Expo Area, Warsteiner has some additional highlights for visitors, spectators and riders of the festival up its sleeve! Among other things there will be the Warsteiner Whip Offs, guaranteeing hard-hitting action and insane tricks on Saturday nught. In a one-hour jam session, the riders will provide some first-class whips and make the audience lose control!

One of the highlights of the iXS Dirt Masters 2015 is the Slopestyle. One rider of the pro class will receive a wildcard for the Swatch Prime Line. At the premier of the FMB World Tour's Silver Event, the best mountain bike slopestyle riders in the scene will compete against each other for some points in the FMBA World Tour rankings.

Of course, also the German Downhill Elite will be there and provide some exciting races with both the iXS German Downhill Cup and Rookies Cup. The field of starters will even indluce some real big names with Wyn Masters (NZL - Team Bulls) and Nick Beer (SUI - Radon Magura Team).

With the Bike Unit 4X Rumble another big challenge is included. Heat for Heat the riders will have to eliminate their competitors in order to reach the podium at the kick-off event of the 4X ProTour. Four riders, a slope - steep turns, doubles and some real fast passages possibly make the 4X race one of the fastest events of the whole festival. The list of particpants is again and international one in 2015 and promises some addictive racing.

Riders of all disciplines, Downhill, Fourcross or Slopestyle, can participate in the open qualifying of the Red Bull Berm Burners to seize the opportunity of their lifetime on Saturday afternoon: to compete against a real Pro. The eight fastest riders qualify for a seat in the finals, where they will compete against Here they will compete against eight Pros of the absolute elite around Wyn Masters and Martin Söderström.

The TSG Cash for tricks on Friday will provide some thrilling atmosphere until the late evening hours. As always, anyone from amateur to pro can compete for the cash pot. The trick that entertains the audience best and that leaves the most flattening impression on the jury will earn the money.

"Let's get high", is the motto of the new Bunny Hop Battles of the iXS Dirt Masters Festival in Winterberg. The rules are simple: you start and deliver a bunny hop over the high jump bar. If the bar remains in it initial position you get to the next round. Everyone can take part (kids up to the age of 14 are allowed to compete in the BMX category). Just join the competition on Friday, between the training course at the bike station and the lift at the Bunny Hop Battle grounds.

In the evening, the festival's atteintion is shifted from the sport to the VANS Music Night. This year's top act will be Atlas Losing Grip from Sweden. To already get the crowd to the right level, Abramowicz from Hamburg will do the trick. Once again the Disco Dogs will attend Saturday's Riders Party and show the crowd what a real good party sounds like.
