lol Cheers lads !!! The final is in Abergavenny, so guess that's England !!! Rain in England....nah, it's a fable. Gary, the fattys are much slower with drag on the tyres, but my fatty is less than 30lb so drag ain't a problem for me? Not as fast as your Orange, but much more fun. 18psi is grippy and a little bouncy, but i'm 20st. 4psi was like glue sticking to the floor, and sooooooo loud !!! Problem with low pressure, is self steer....feels like flopping to the left or right, and won't keep in a straight line, so you can't take your hands off as steering is unpredictable. They based this on their 29er geo wise and at 18psi I'm well happy at the moment. On those trails I see your vids on would be great. And, me being out of work, no suspension and servicing costs. It feels like back in the 80's again with BMX's first introduced in the UK. It grips the up's like no other bike I have ridden, not once slipping out? Fast on the downs, the buzz is immense, but remember....no rebound valve, so you sort of need to control the speed and bounce with your arms and lower body, like BMX riding. Only downside...tyres £90 each. But you can get tyres from £30 each. Give one a try, you may be surprised?
Cheers !! Still thinking of running tubeless, so may be down soon to see Big G, John and the gang...Don Skene Cycles...still the best shop around, recommended by the great Seadevil who has ridden anything and everything !! Ring the shop for any advice on items, rigs, clothing and parts. They will take care of you like a family...02920 777158.
