Man that is shitty, I think your best bet is to ream it out with sand paper, like we did with the bearings on your demo. It will take awhile but i think it's your best bet.

Also did you pay with paypal? is that not good enough for proof of cost? don't give up trying to get the money from Fedex. If they won't do anything for you put it up on social media to warn people what can what happen when you use Fedex. That may get their attention.

Was thinking a body work dolly, and tapping that with a hammer, but I think it would be safer to try to just mill away material until the bearing fits. Not sure aluminum will respond well to reshaping like steel would. Might crack?

 Damn dude! Frown
I had a similar situation when I bought Mare's frame. Rear triangle cracked during delivery same way your head tube got damaged. I blamed the seller for not packaging the frame properly. Fortunately USPS replaced the part since there was insurance. Did you have insurance?

Might be able to tap that out a bit with a curved steel object and a blunt blow.

Might….lol. Im optimistic that a similar type procedure will do the trick.

Can it be felt in the inside?

yeeeeah. Obvious damage from FedEX. I can hammer the 1.5" bearing in with mallet and it does spin albeit VERY poorly. Im hoping a machine/press shop could restore the tolerance. Any thoughts? FedEx wants proof of cost and a DNA sample before they even look at the claim...

That's crappy. Of course Fedex will deny any wrong doing. It might be able to be reamed out a little or even filed a bit. Hope you find a good place.

yeah, ask your buddies. someone might know of a place. It only needs about 2-3mm taken down on that spot and the angled "race" portion seems fine which takes most the weight…..definitely disappointed. lol
