 @isaacschmidt: the eBay narrow wides only go to 44, probably gonna do that. Game plan is eBay ring, Zee RD, wolftooth cable pull adapter, and some trickery to lock out the left shifter.

 @crs-one: Nice, you won't regret it. I've left my shifter null on the lever, but would love to just upgrade to Paul comp if i had endless $... 44 is certainly enough, I could take it down a notch, but since i commute to the cx-able trails via pavement I enjoy the spin. either way, this is a fun way to experience the trail. cheers dude

 @isaacschmidt I was thinking I would clamp something (haven't figured out what yet, some small brake part probably) on the shifter cable around where it exits the lever, and try to tuck it under the hood + tape. That should prevent attempted upshifts, which is good enough for me.
