I think I read somewhere that the person who designed it was working on a new model. There is a thread on mtbr about it.

Not sure if you can still get them or not. The spring loaded posts like this one are nice because they are super fast, but also they are very noisy 
That was the thing that I didn't like about it mainly. I run a Rock Shox Reverb post now, and I like that much better. Better cable routing, silent, and it works great.
