I dont get it. Im a downhill biker and you can get a pretty serious bike for 1500. This doesnt have hydraulic brakes, any suspension, shifters, etc. What makes it cost over 2000 to build? Im not putting down this bike but just curious how a bike with such minimal need for parts cost so much.

The main reason they sell parts for such a high price is because they can. Supply and Demand. People are willing to pay high prices on parts because they cant find them for cheaper unless you buy used.

bmx bikes are worth shit compared to a downhill rig. with all top of the line parts a bmx bike can top about $2500 at most. a fully custom downhill bike with all top of the line parts will easily tip scales at ten grand if not alot more.
