I landed a small jump and got on the gas before the next lip but nothing there. Felt like I dropped my chain but it was still on the middle ring which was still bolted to the bash guard. It was NOT the result of a direct impact. My theory is chain growth upon suspension compression against fixed foot position on landing over time weakened it until it finally gave out.

 Did you have the little stainless tabs on with the ring and bolts?

 ouch...

 how'd that happen?
