If you are going to clip for DH, then buy these. Light weight easy to clip in and out. big pedalling plat form that you wont slip off if you cant re clip. Not that that will happen very often, the cage guides your foot straight onto the mechansim. Speaking of mechanism, sick of getting mud stuck in your pedal? Well, its a thing of the past...

Love these pedals, I have the black/red mallet 3s and they are the best of both worlds. Easy to clip in and easy to ride without clips...I would highly recommend these pedals to anyone who likes to freeride, all mountain, or crosscountry ride.

I ride these new Mallet 3's after riding flats for years. didn't take long to get used to clips again and now i've adjusted from 15 to 20˚. These have the movement of flats with the power and confidence of clips. Great buy!
