I've always ran SRAM Derailleurs, and tortured them and have always had good luck, i suppose. The X9 is a perfect blend of light weight and strength without breaking the bank!
Awesome derailleur for the money i would recommend getting the one with the clutch as i run 2x10 with a long cage and the gear ratio is amazing. great for the money and extremely durable and crisp

Actuation Ratio - is typically seen in shifters and derailleurs. SRAM primarily uses 1:1 ratio while Shimano primarily uses 2:1. It is imperative that riders check to make sure that their shifters and derailleurs are compatible with one another. If they are not compatible, they will not work.
