I have this on 3 of my bikes, AM, Freeride and DH for a reason. It just works and is durable to take any punishment you provide. It's not for the weight weenies but it's worth sacrifing some weight for it's durability and performance. I've yet to have any issues with this and I've had 6 years of use on my AM bike and that's wither several bar replacements, screwing and unscrewing the bolts. I believe Pricepoint.com has the cheapest price on these sometimes being on sale for under $20. It's 40mm is shorter than most direct mounts but will require a few spacers underneath to seat properly as the bottom of the stem is not flat. Be sure to measure all the spacers, headset and stem before you cut a steertube! I wish they came in more colors but that's about the only concern I can make.
Pro, cheep at only 25 dollars for the black and 35 for white, you get a bomb proof stem.
