Great on compact terrein! Superfast! Geax compound technology was specifically designed for being the FASTEST XC tyre on the market. XC racing is where it belongs, here it’s all about speed and low rolling resistance. Only for dry and hard packed conditions, the short central knobs provide quick acceleration/deceleration and keep weight and rolling resistance low, while more aggressive side knobs handle the corners.

It offers less grip than Saguaro model (especially on loose over hardpack, is OK on tarmac), rolls similarly, but wears down really quickly - the little knobs just tear off, after two 4cross events I've got only 50% of the middle thread left. The general thread profile is the same as in Kenda SBE.

just got the new AKA's for the 29ers and the rip! faster then the Saguaro's but yet more side bite.

The price was okay tires are tires GEAX seams to always give you great bang for your buck value

Awesome tyres, predictable grip and grips on hardpack/sand/gravel without any problems. Rolling resistance is very small. Buy, you will not be disappointed!

This is an incredibly fast rolling which is good for any dry conditions however it is death in the wet, good tyre for the roads.

Awesome for XC riding, have not taken them onto a technical AM ride. Roll super fast and surprisingly have great grip no only in the dry but in mud too.

vittoria AKA (MSRP $45) — The AKA was designed to dominate in situations where the knob must penetrate the ground without digging, and offer exceptional grip without slowing momentum. Even adverse terrains like gravel, sand, and grass aren't a match for this directional, well spaced, small blocked pattern. Gato-derived side knobs round out the profile, providing predictable cornering even when conditions get moist. It's the choice of pro slopestyle rider Cam Zink, not because it's a do-it-all tire...because it's a DOMINATE-it-all tire.
