They should all get an entry. They are all incredible people who help there communities succeed. Too bad the competition is based on a popularity/votes model. Would be better to have Kaslaw or BC Bike Race simply give six entries (or select one person based on merit). The downfall of this type of voting competition,is that people who do not get enough votes - lose. Not the best way to support community activism. Another option, would be for a philanthropist, to simply pay for the other tickets (and then we can watch who gets the best overall result). Just my two cents. If I win the lottery in the next week, I will buy the tickets.

Ryan Hamilton! Cranbrook is out of the way for a lot of people on this website and perhaps not the first community to roll off the tongue when discussing biking. This makes Ryan's engagement that much more impressive in my mind. Ryan Hamilton is active in all aspects of Bike in Cranbrook. He is a teacher and through the school organizes the high school team and takes the youth on regular rides, supports the local races, trail building, and cycling club. He is literally someone building the future of the sport in a community that is beginning to embrace it, no doubt due to the efforts of Ryan and the few others in the community with similar dedication. He is an all around good guy and has a surprising knowledge of golden era hip hop for someone who may or may not have a fair collection of lycra. Send Ryan!!!!
