Feb 5, 2016Trek Session 88
$2400 CADI've got a Medium (virtual 17.5")2012 Session 88 for sale. I'm selling it because of a few injuries from snowboarding this winter that make downhill not really in the books for me this year, gonna focus on rehab. Mechanic owned, so the frame and components have been really well maintained. No dents or cracks, just chips in the paint. Really solid bike, pretty sad to see her go. The pivot bearings, rear shock bushings, and fork rebuild were done in the fall(bike has only been ridden a handful of times since then). Everything has been replaced as needed over the summer; fork seals, chain, derailleur cable housing (internally routed) ect. I'm really picky about my brakes so they were bled pretty much every week of riding. The front wheel is hand built by me and the rear was built up by the head tech at Silverstar, both Stans No-tubes Flow EX hoops. Tires set up tubeless. The rear brake was replaced with a 2015 Zee during the summer. The shock was also bled/IFP depth changed slightly to make it more progressive. The fork is an RC2, it has high/low compression, and the RC rebound stack. Willing to negotiate price, Make me an offer. Message me here on pinkbike.

Feb 1, 2016Bontrager Big Earl Rear Wheel
$120 CADI have a Bontrager Big Earl Rear wheel. Hand built by me (i took the old front hoop off the hub because i was upgrading rims and it was mint and laced it the the rear hub off the old wheel), laced 2 cross and tensioned with a tension meter. Its very close to true and has no cracks or dents, just a few scratches. The hub still rolls great, has no play and engages properly. Was gonna use this as a backup wheel but sadly i am not gonna be able to ride this season. 120$ for the wheel and hub, 170$ for wheel/Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5" 3c Compound Tire/tube all mounted up.

Ask Pinkbike: Searching for Grip, The Geometron, and Riding Wet Roots
At around 17-18% on my boxxer I can bottom it out with full high speed compression and a heavier weight oil damper side. Once you start riding faster you'll appreciate a stiffer setup for those moments when you hack a line in a root section at full speed, even on a trailbike.
