Only four months after cracking two vertebrae in a bad crash at Crankworx Les 2 Alpes while attempting a double backflip in windy conditions, Sam Reynolds is back on his bike and pushing it hard again. For Sam this feels like a resurrection from the dead – something that Sam illustrates in his new comeback video.

“It’s been a long time without riding and I’m just so happy to be fit and back on the bike again”, says the 21-year-old British rider. Together with filmmaker Tom Grundy he produced a highly anticipated video that shows he’s back in shape and ready to rock the 2013 season. You can find the video here: http://youtu.be/UZpyGClM1nA

“Shooting the video was a lot of fun. I wanted to tell the whole story – from the crash in Les 2 Alpes up to now”, says Sam. Although his recovery went smoothly, Sam’s return to the dirt wasn’t. During a dirt jump session, he attempted a backflip which ended in him losing one of his front teeth.

Big plans for 2013

Polygon athlete Sam Reynolds has big plans for the upcoming year: “I want to do all the FMB World Tour 2013 events and I am especially looking forward to making my debut at the North American competitions. After missing half the season I still managed to finish 8th in the FMB World Tour 2012 overall ranking so I look forward to the next season. Let’s see what’s in store for me.”

Before his crash in Les 2 Alpes which resulted in his early season retirement, 2012 was a pretty successful year for Sam and his bike sponsor Polygon. The British rider won Monster Energy White Style in Leogang (AUT), came 2nd at Vienna Air King (AUT) and Red Bull Berg Line (GER) and finished 3rd at 26 TRIX (AUT).

With Polygon’s wide gravity range, Sam Reynolds will be perfectly equipped for upcoming competitions and the variety of FMB World Tour events. With Sam’s versatile riding skills, Polygon has made sure he has a bike ready to roll for every occasion. “It’s awesome to be part of the Polygon team. Polygon feels like the perfect match and I love the bikes, especially the Cozmic DX Alloy & Cromo bike.”
