Kona Previews New Process X Alloy & Carbon 153
Im going to BLOW THE LID OF THIS FORUM RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! SO.......for the last two years the process X has had a HUUUUUGE flaw that nobody has noticed. The flip chip that is located at the top of the chainstay\rocker link has laser ingraving indicating either a 27.5 or a 29 wheel size and an arrow for each that points to the rear. This chip is labelled backwards!!!!!!!! so people thinking their geometry is staying the same for either wheel sizes is actually making the bike even taller with a 29" and more slack with a 27.5......... Not sure if i am the only one who has noticed this but WTF. Most people i have talked to that ride X's say they dont even notice. Better fix this Kona. And deore parts on a7500$ bike. what a joke.

First Look: 2024 Commencal Meta V5
FLAW- where the shock mounts to the top tube. Where is the metal meat backing the shock force????. transferred upward into the MIDDLE of the top tube.!!!! A top tube that is flattened and has little strength against an upward force. Whoops commencal hope you get lucky on this one. beautiful bike but id bet that top tube is going to fail badly. guess time will tell.

Zee DH wheelset

$350 CAD
Shimano ZEE hubset laced to Sun Ringle MTX 31 rims. These wheels are in about as new condition as a used item can be. they were takeoffs from a bike after half a dozen rides. Straight and true, no issues at all. a couple of tiny tick in the rim surface from a couple bits of rogue gravel. 20mm front hub spacing. 150mm rear 12mm axle.

Review: Industry Nine's New Hydra Hubs Have 690 Points of Engagement
you simply cant have individually phased pawls and expect them to last. Especially when the teeth are so tiny. there is the entire force of the riders torque on one tiny pawl at a time. there is no metal with the hardness known to man that will stand up to the tortures of shredders that is needed to machine pawls out of. I9 made a huge mistake here. They could have introduced the new ring with more teeth but for gods sake keep the 2 phases with three pawls each. 3 pawls spaced at 120 degrees apart is the perfect mechanical arrangement to distribute force evenly throughout the ring. BAD MISTAKE I9. Sit back and watch them fail. too bad they went overboard on a great product.

Good Ideas Executed Poorly - Opinion
For all you centerlock guys..... the problem is aluminum on aluminum. If you have even the slightest amount of tolerance play between something like a splined axle centerlock rotor as braking forces go back and fourth the splines will eventually wear in. If it was steel on steel this process would take a lot longer but aluminum on aluminum just shouldnt exist for brake rotors. Shimano splined crankarms work because you can tighten the crank in the spline so no play exists. ^bolt rotors are the way to go.....
