Die hard rider, and occasional runner as I await a torn tendon to heal. Use to road race, now ride for the love of it, and for fitness. Love bikes, and do 95% of my own maintenance. I tried mountain biking but it just didn't take with me. I like the bikes, just not so sure-footed on those trails as I am on the road!!I I had a stock Trek 6000 that my lovely wife bought me for father's day a few years ago. It was stolen and replaced with a Trek 6500 loaded with Deore XT groupo and DT Swiss wheels. Again, beautiful bike, just not for me. Now it's my Colnago Master loaded with Campy Record 10 speed and NOS Campy Delta Strada XL tubular rims and my Beater for grocery shopping and cruising about town with my wife.

Trek 6500 with Shimano Deore XT Groupo, DT Swiss wheels...

$1200 CAD
This bike has less than 100kms on it and as such it is in near mint condition. It was purchased new in the summer of 2013, but it is a 2012 model. At the time of purchase, I had the store (Danforth Cyclepath) upgrade the parts so that they were from the same (2013) Deore XT groupo, and changed out the stock cassette, chain and saddle. New wheels and tires were added last summer. They are 26" DT Swiss XR 400 tubeless rims (32 hole) with DT Swiss stainles steel spokes (14 gauge), 3 cross, and DT Swiss 350 hubs. Tires are Schwalbe Nobby Nic EVO and they have been set up tubeless. They have been used once, for about a 30 km ride. Also included in the package are the original stock Bontrager wheels, with the stock Bontragter tires. They were ridden on twice, a combined 50 or 60 kms. The frame is a Trek 6500 hard tail with a Rock Shox Recon Gold TK pneumatic fork. (fork pump is included). Comes with Rock Shox remote fork lock out. Frame size is 18.5" or 46.99cm measured from the centre of the bottom bracket to top of seat tube. Groupo: Front and rear deraileurs, hydraulic calipers, rotors, shifters/leavers, cranks (172.5mm), out board bottom bracket cups and pedals are Shimano Deore XT 2013 issue. Stock, sealed Cane Creek head set. Cassette and chain are Schram X-0 San Marco Regal saddle in white. Handle bar and stem are Bontrager RL Low Riser and the and seat post is stock Bontrager. Handle bar grips are Specialized Body Geometry locking grips. Weight: 26.5 pounds. $1200, or best offer.
