Commencal Meta AM 29 Team

$2800 USD
This is my beloved 2020 Meta 29 AM Team bike. I've really enjoyed this bike and still do, but as life changes, so do bike needs. It's a beast, but still quite fun and agile to ride though it takes some physical input. Climbs technical terrain really well, no shortage of traction and if you can keep the pedals turning it'll keep going up and up. Going down...well then it's a dream. Cushy, yet playful. So much fun. The original spec is below and is basically what is on the bike right now aside from different tires and saddle. The wheel set is mostly straight and hasn't been used that much as I primarily rode with a different set of wheels. Suspension air can and fork lowers just serviced (dampers done last year). The drivetrain is worn and I've thought about replacing it, but its not skipping and still shifts pretty well so just keep it going till you really need to replace it. The bike has been ridden, but cared for in a routine way and works as it should. I'd like someone to get a good, fun, solid bike at a price that's fair to us both. Shipping via bike flights. Here's what Commencal have to say: https://www.commencalusa.com/PBCPPlayer.asp?ID=2059095 Spec: Ride Alpha 40mm stem Ride Alpha 780mm bar, 27mm ride Sram GX Eagle drivetrain. 30t ring, 10-50 cassette KS Lev Integra 150mm dropper Code R brakes (fresh bleed), 200m rotors RS Lyrik Ultimate RC2 RS Super Deluxe Ultimate Hubs: SPANK Oozy 32 holes, 6 bolts, 15 x 110 mm front, 12 x 148 mm rear, XD freehub body Wheels: SPANK Oozy 350 front / SPANK Oozy 359 rear 32 holes, 30 mm inner width, tubeless ready Saddle: WTB Volt Tires: Specialized 2.6 Eliminator front, drifty Minion DHF 2.5 rear Pics show the scratches to actual paint. I've had the frame taped since day 1 and much of the ugliness in photos is on the tape. I'm happy to pull it off or leave it for you to decide on. I also have a 50mm stem I can swap out and a used pair of XT trail pedals if you really want them.

Inside Commencal: 20 Years After Starting From Zero
@enduroFactory: I tried the slash with coil front and rear then fox x2 and was always tweaking it. I just couldn't get it to feel right. It always seemed to blow through the travel or be too harsh, never really felt planted. The meta it was air up the fork and shock, tweak the rebound and LSC ever so slightly then ride and it feels great. More planted and stable, but also more responsive to rider input and pedal strokes. It feels how I always wanted the slash to feel, but with much less work or fiddling.

Ordered my Meta AM this summer. Placed the order on a Wed night, had the bike at my house Friday evening. Took it to Whistler a week later. It kills the Slash 29er it replaced.
