My 8 year old son rode about 500 miles in these over the last year. Very light use, excellent condition. SPD cleat compatible. Euro size 36. Compare with others priced at $100 and up for the exact same shoe which is the retail price in shops. If your looking for something for your child ready for clip-less these are awesome!!! Ive had this bike for less than a yr. I totally love it but my 9 yr son is getting more serious with racing so i need to sacrifice one on my bikes to get him a better better bike/ carbon wheels etc. I am an old XC racer from the 80s and 90s so i had it set up w/ a Thompson Lye Back Post, a 120mm stem, and flipped bars to accommodate my riding style and long torso / arms. It rode awesome with the stock ALL MOUNTAIN step-up, as well as in a 90s XC lower more aggressive position. This bike truly has 8 hard endurance XC rides in the Tahoe area and thats it!!! The chain stays show some scuffs from my bow legged pedal style w/ the freedom of Speedplay pedals. The sicker on the seat tube per TREK says 19.5" TREKs geo chart can be a bit confusing, Im 5'11, this bike would work well for any ridr 5-10 to 6-1 BTW the frt brk was warrantied by SRAM, they were out of the stock Level brakes that bike came with so they sent an upgraded Guide brake. Also if you look close in the main photo on the porch rail, the stock 70mm stem is sitting there and will come with the bike.
