4X ProTour – Round 3 – Val Di Sole, Italy
This weekend, the 4X ProTour moves on to Val Di Sole in Italy for round 3 of the 2013 Tour. Val Di Sole is a venue that the riders love. With the longest track on the ProTour, this venue always provides interesting, calculated passing from the riders and the huge pro line doubles always entertain the massive crowds.
Situated in the Trentino area of northern Italy and surrounded by vineyards and stunning scenery, Val Di Sole is a fantastic venue for 4X racing and on Saturday night, 15th June, the sparks will fly once more as the world’s best 4X riders will battle it out to see who will win round 3.

At the opening 2 rounds, 2 riders have been unstoppable. In the women’s Katy Curd has absolutely dominated winning every qualifying round and every race so far in 2013. Under pressure against Caroline Buchanon and Anneke Beerten in Fort William at round 2, Katy showed she is the woman to beat in 2013 by dominating all her races once again. Her competition in Italy will surely come from Celine Gros and Lucia Oetjen who have both been flying as well this year making the finals at rounds 1 and 2.

In the men’s it is a similar story where Tomas Slavik has been unstoppable, again winning qualifying rounds and every race at the first 2 rounds so far in 2013. Michal Prokop has finished 2nd at rounds 1 and 2 so he will be looking to beat Slavik this weekend for sure.
Scott Beaumont and Quentin Derbier have both been riding fast in 2013 and will also be pushing for the final and a chance to defeat Slavik. A career best finish for Hannes Slavik of 4th in Fort William will have him fired up to repeat the top 4 performance again this week and Felix Beckeman will be looking to forget about his disqualification in Fort William and bounce back to the podium in Italy.

So the scene is set for an awesome race. Round 3 of the 2013 4X ProTour is ready for the gate to drop. Who’s your money on?

It really does not give it justice...If it did there wouldn't be a bunch of posers bagging on them every time pinkbike put up anything 4x. Wish they had a vid with the pics though.
