About - Here is my 2012 Race Bike. I got the new Silver frame in August so it was only raced at 4 races and is and hasn't been ridden since then. the Crank brothers Opium wheels were also replaced before the 2012 World Champs in leogang and have only done two races. forks reguralry serviced at every race and the shock was also brand new with the new frame so is still running amazing. I won the 2012 Junior National champs on this bike and It is an amazing bike whether you are a top level racer or you just ride downhill for fun on the weekends. The gear box is an 8 speed Shimano alfine hub, you can change gear when yoy and pedalling and when you are free wheeling and it will be in the gear that you shifted to when you start pedalling again. the hub is fully sealed so there is no need to strip and clean or adjust gears, very little maintenance needed and no mech to bash off when riding! The suspension is based on very rearward axle path and therefore as you hit rough stuff the bike gets longer and more stable and it carries much better speed over the rough stuff than a bike with a vertical axle path. the bike is also silent when riding compared with a normal downhill that has a rear mech.
