Up for sale is a 2006 Iron Horse Sunday DH bike, size medium. This is an extremely capable downhill rig that would be great for someone trying to get into riding DH on a budget. I recently stripped the paint off the frame and replaced the suspension bearings, it has had less than a dozen rides on the new bearings. I will admit, the bike does need some work done to be in top shape, but I have ridden and raced this bike, as is, at Beech Mtn a handful of times over the summer and it has continued to hold up wonderfully.
Spec List:
Frame: '06 Iron Horse Sunday, sz M
Shock: Fox DHX 3.0
Fork: '07 Rockshox Boxxer Team - serviced by susp. experts Asheville last year.
Front Wheel: Mavic Deetrak
Rear Wheel: Azonic Outlaw
Brakes: Avid Juicy 5
Cranks: Gravity Light DH, 165mm. W/ 36T e13 guide ring.
Chainguide: E-13 SRS w/ bash
Derailleur: Sram X-9 - could use replacing. Works for gears 1-5, cage is bent and cannot physically shift further.
Tires: Front - Maxxis DHF @ 75% tread; Rear - Specialized Chunder @ 75% tread
Bars: Specialized Stock Bars, ~28" width
Stem: Funn Direct Mount
Saddle/Post: SDG I-beam
Grips: ODI TLD
Will also include a set of Transition flat pedals if you're interested. Fork could use new oil/seals, brakes could be bled but neither are necessary immediately. Selling b/c it's time I step up to a more recent DH rig. As I said before, this bike would be great for someone who is interested in trying out downhill/freeride just to have fun. This is a great time to buy with Beech Mtn recently jumping into the mountain bike scene.
