2012 Trek Session 9.9 Carbon DH Bike Fox Air 40 RC4 Ti Spring

I’m selling my beloved DH bike after a couple years of enjoyment, primarily a yearly pilgrimage to Whistler for a week. I don’t really ride DH much around home (Santa Cruz) so although it’s a 2012 it hasn’t seen even close to one season’s worth of riding during the past 3 years. I’m a 30yo engineer and the original owner of the entire bike and parts. The bike has been meticulously maintained and I have replaced any questionable components so you have a dialed bike ready to hit the slopes with no work required.

Frame: 2012 Trek Session 9.9, size large, 210mm travel. Has some scratches and paint chips as one would expect on a used DH bike but nothing major after looking over the entire bike. The downtube has been “spackled” by sand and tiny rocks to a matte finish.

Fork: 2015 Fox RC2 40 Air, 203mm travel. Nearly new, the fork is butter smooth and ready for a full season.

Shock: NEW 2015 Fox RC4 with 450lb/in titanium spring (I’m 165lbs fyi). I can provide you with a different rate steel spring if needed.

Wheels: Hope Pro II Hubs laced with NEW 14/15 DT Competition spokes to NEW Spank Spike 35 rims. Relatively lightweight and very stout, this wheelset is ready for it’s first ride. Front hub bearings were just replaced (the sealing is terrible on them so the bearings go out pretty quick if you ride in the rain, but they cost a few bucks…). Rear hub has excellent sealing and the bearings have not been replaced and still feel like new.

Tires: NEW Bontrager G5 tires, 2.5”. Amazing tires!!

Brakes: Avid Elixer 9 with Code Calipers, 200mm front rotor, 180mm rear. You’ll be stopping real quick.

Handlebar: Bontrager Rhythm Pro, Carbon, Cut to 780mm. Some small scutts

Stem: Sunline direct mount. Some small scuffs.

Drivetrain: Sram XO shifter, rear derailleur and chain, 9 speed. Works flawlessly, brand new cable and housing.

Cassette: Shimano Ultegra, 11-23.

Cranks: Truvativ Descendant, 165mm. Lots of scuffs and scratches.

Chainring: NEW Race Face, 36T

Chainguide: MRP G2, Carbon Backplate, designed for 36T ring

Pedals: Point One Podium. Thin and grippy.

Seatpost: Bontrager XXX Lite Carbon

Seat: Bontrager Rhythm

Extras: 3 brand new Bontrager G4 and G5 tires, 2.35”
