Killer deal, read everything. If you’re looking for a killer fork at a killer price and aren’t worried about resale value, this is for you.

So here is the deal:
I have had this fork since January 2015. I have serviced it regularly (every 3-5 months depending on time of year). I just changed the oil and cleaned the lowers tonight (6/23/16). Seals have approximately 15 rides on them.

As I was changing the oil tonight, I noticed some wear in the damper side stanchion (picture included). It may be due to some premature bushing wear on the damper side (will be calling Rockshox first thing in the AM). I am not 100% sure what it is. It is likely that whoever ends up with this fork will need to replace the CSU (crown steering unit) down the road. But I have also heard that some people use some type of epoxy or clear nail polish to fix this issue. Apparently it is an inexpensive fix that lasts. I just don’t want to deal with it.

HOWEVER, I personally guarantee that the fork rides flawlessly – I was absolutely shocked when I found the wear on the stanchion today. It is also shocking that this has happened because, as I said above, I have been very consistent in servicing it. I have never had any problems with this fork before what I discovered tonight. I wouldn’t lie about the ride quality – I have no reason to after coming forward with the stanchion wear. Honestly, it rides just as well as the RCT3 model; the RC model just only has one compression adjustment.

There is another small nick on the air spring stanchion that I have smoothed out. You actually can’t see it in the photo because it is right next to the seal. I tried to get a picture of it.
