I have here a classic GT downhill bike that performs just as smooth and great as any other DH bike out there. In my opinion, it is very smooth and plush; it is also very stable on the air and ground. Just had a completely new fork overhaul (new Marzocchi seals installed). Here are the specs below:
Frame: GT Dhi Race 2001 (Medium frame)
Fork: Marzocchi Monster T 2001
Brakes: Hayes HFX Mags w/ 203mm rotors
Tires: Maxxis Minion DH 2.5in. tires
Cranks: Shimano XTR
Rear Derailer: Shimano Ultegra
Pedals: Sun Ringle pedals
Cassette/Shifter: Shimano XTR 9 speed
Rims: Not sure what brand but they are double butted with lots of spokes
Rear Shock: Fox Vanilla
Handlebars/Seatpost: Not sure what model, but they are Syncros
