The Giant Escape 1 is an excellent commuter bike, fitness bike, and can do a great job as a light touring bike. This is a 2015 model that has been lightly used and well serviced recently.

I've added a bottle cage, rear rack, and the excellent Schwalbe marathon touring tires: http://www.schwalbe.com/en/tour-reader/marathon.html
The bike has been ridden maybe 30-40k total on those new tires.
