The V1-R is the new frame from Colnago designed for cyclists who are particular about their bike's weight-to-performance ratio. It is made with the highest quality carbon fiber, selected in cooperation with Ferrari, the frame is monocoque, with aerodynamic shaped tube sections, and full carbon rear dropouts. It is the best monocoque frame produced in Colnago's seixty year history.

Colnago uses a compact frame sizing to reduce weight and increase stiffness, but with a longer stem and a back angled seat tube, they fit one to two sizes smaller then a standard road bike.

The V1-R comes with Colnago's patented Threadfit 82.5 bottom bracket. Combining the best of both standard bottom bracket styules, the reliable and practicality of threaded and the larger, stiffer press fit brackets, this bottom bracket adds two new cups that are easily removable, and thus significantly add to the longevity of the frame without compromising performance.

The rear dropouts are now fully carbon, and have an integrated mounting system for the rear derailleur to help reduce weight and improve aerodynamics.

A Colnago dedicated seat post greatly improves stiffness and aerodynamics by using an aero foil shape and reducing the size to 27.2 mm.

The new frame also comes with integrated aero brake mounts, and with removable inserts in the internal cable housing, the bike is fully compatible to be set up with all shifting systems either mechanical or electronic, and both rim brakes and disc brakes!
