Selling my GT I Drive Elite 6 (2010)

I am the second owner of this bike, took it from a friend who bought it new, he lent it to me to ride down Snowdon about 3 years ago, I had so much fun I bought it off him after the ride. The frame is a medium size and I am just over 6ft tall so is probably a bit small for me. I am selling as I have just bought a new bike.

Most of the components have been upgraded/replaced by me/previous owner. After replacing the noddy GT handlebars and getting a shorter stem the bike is a beast on the descents and feels really confident on steep trails.

I replaced the outer chainring with a RaceFace bash guard, you could put a 3rd ring back on if you want the extra gears

The Pikes have only been on the bike for 6 months, I bought them to replace the Revelations that were on before, they are awesome, still perform like new, no signs of wear and the seals are in top condition, the RP23 rear shock is also in great condition with no signs of wear.

Both tyres are running tubeless, I have not had a single issue with them since setting up, they hold their pressure all day long.

RockShox Pike 427 U-Turn forks 140mm
Fox Float RP23 Rear shock (140mm)
2 x 9 Setup, I replaced the outer chainring with a RaceFace bashguard
SRAM X9 shifters and rear derailier
Avid Elixir brakes on 180mm rotors
RaceFace Ride short stem
Ragley 760mm Handlebars
Hope SP AM-4 Hubs front and rear
ZTR Flow Tubeless rims front and back
Maxxis Minion DHR II 2.3” Front Tyre (tubeless)
Maxxis Ardent 2.25” Rear Tyre (tubeless)
Wellgo Aluminium Pedals
Propalm Lock-on Grips
SDG Components Saddle

I have a spare rear mech hanger that I will include as they are quite hard to come by, I also have some spare tyres which I no longer need, I have just fitted a brand new mud-guard too

Bad bits:

-The bike is 6/7 years old so there is plenty of wear on the frame, some cable rub and paint chips around the chainstay
-There is play in the brake levers which causes them to rattle a bit
-The front brake disc is slightly bent so it rubs a bit on the pads, you can replace the disc or bend it back yourself with a spanner and a bit of patience
-The main frame pivots creak when you are climbing and peddling out of the saddle, this is a notorious issue with the I-Drive and can be stopped by stripping the pivots and re-greasing them, doesn’t affect the ride at all just annoying
-The headset bearings will probably need replacing this/next year

Would make a great first full suss-er for someone, there is enough travel to take on black / downhill descents with confidence and it pedals really well on the climbs (I have never had the need to lock out the suspension) thanks to the clever I-Drive linkage
