As a Master Mechanic, you’ll make sure the bike shop runs like a well-tuned machine. You’ll get your hands dirty building and repairing bikes, but you’ll also be the team member. Our bike shop welcomes everyone, and your team will work on everything from high-end road or mountain machines to well-loved commuters and bikes for little rippers.

What you do:

Make sure the bike shop plans and coordinates services to provide exceptional member service.
Organize introductory and ongoing training for bike shop staff.
Assemble, maintain and repair bicycles within Squatch's productivity, quality, and safety guidelines.
Provide bike shop reports as required.
Keep the shop clean and organized.
Help out with special projects that come up..
Think about the big picture, strategize, problem solve, and make things happen!

What you bring:

1 to 3 years of experience doing bike assembly, maintenance and repairs in a bike shop. Kids’ bikes, mountain bikes, city bikes – you’ve worked on them all.
Mechanical aptitude. You reason things out and find ways to make it work, even when it’s something you haven’t seen before (like a four-person-tandem tune-up)
Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills. You also keep your tools organized and manage your time wisely.
A good natured, welcoming vibe. You’re outgoing and genuinely like helping people.
Great communication skills – you listen first, then share knowledge.
You’re stoked on bikes and riding, and you keep on top of the latest equipment and tech.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday.

Have bike mechanic technical training.
Have bike grease under your nails.
Can fix a flat in under five minutes.
