2014 Rocky Mountain Element 970 RSL Carbon (upgraded)

2014 Rocky Mountain Element 970 RSL (size L) for sale. The whole frame is carbon (including the triangle). I am the original owner, bought brand new in 2015 from my LBS (Blackwell Cycle). I maintain/clean the bike every ride and it also gets serviced regularly by Blackwell Cycle. Feel free to call the shop owner/mechanic , James, to discuss. Bike rides like new and has 20-25 rides on it in its two seasons of use.

The bike has a few upgrades that really make it shine. I installed a brand new 2015 fox float factory 32 Kashima 120mm to replace the 100mm fork the bike came with. The bike is in excellent condition, ready to ride. I haven’t even ridden it yet since its last service (March 11th 2017). Chain and cassette have been replaced twice since I’ve had the bike, and the shifting is precise with has no skipping or grinding. Rotors and pads have been replaced once. I always use park tool carbon paste when adjusting anything carbon, as well as park tool high performance grease for axles etc. I always use a 5nM torque wrench when tightening bolts. The minions set up tubeless hold air great, they even hold with no sealant. Tires have minimal wear. There are a couple small scratches from my bike rack as well as one at the top of one of the fork stanchions, but they are purely cosmetic and have given me no issues whatsoever. Fork and shock seals are in good shape, with no leaks. I also have a new set of pivot bearings I will include in the sale.

This bike is light enough to be a XC racer, and is also very capable as a trail bike. MSRP stock was $5200 back in 2014. I have two other bikes, so it hasn’t been used all that much.

-The new fork came with the manual lever, so I bought the fox remote topcap interface kit (820-05-272-KIT) so I could control it with the CTD lever. Included in the sale are the parts to convert back to manual lever.
-WTB Silverade race SL saddle (not currently installed – this is the unused stock seat that will be included in the sale)
-Raceface turbine handlebars (not currently installed - these are the barely used stock bars that will be included in the sale)
-Weighs 25.6# stock as per rocky mountain
-Mine actually weighs in at 27.4# with the heavy minions and pedals.
-Includes bottle cage and bolts
