I'm sad. Very sad. But I'm also broke and can't justify owning this anymore after taking a break from racing. It's been well over a year since our last foray down a hill together, and since then my beautiful beast has sat quietly, alone in the corner of the garage, patiently waiting to go fast as f**k once again.
The bike was maintained to ride as if it were new every weekend by either a team mechanic or myself. Parts were regularly swapped out and the frame itself only has 4-5 days total on it after they recalled the first run and sent updated frames. Complete wheelset was literally just built and hasn't been ridden. Tires are new. Suspension has a few rides at most since being serviced.
*Highly important note about the fork- I acquired it from a Fox factory-supported rider who had some fancy custom stuff going on. Most notably, the arch has been milled out slightly to fit a 29'er wheel. He claimed to love the extra bit of compliance this gave the fork as well, although honestly I couldn't notice a difference. Compression and rebound damping is also not stock (allows oil to flow faster through the circuits) and was tuned to his liking. Adjustment range will thus be different from stock, but I hopped on the thing and it was the best feeling fork I'd ever ridden.
***IF for whatever reason you aren't comfortable with a one-off fork, knock $100 off the asking price and I can swap it with a similarly fresh Suntour RUX.
