2014 Giant Trance SX 27.5.1 Size Large in Gold Bronze

Giant Trance SX 2014 ‘27.5.1’ - Hardly used.

This was the top of the range originally costing £2700 from Giant in Guildford - boasting Fox Forks’ big 140/160mm CTD Evolution forks with 15mm Thru-Axle, using the patented Overdrive 2 tapered system and Fox Float Evolution Series 140mm rear suspension - all in perfect order no scratches on stanchions.

Stem was upgraded to the awesome Cromag Overdrive 2 1/2” stem imported from Dunbar Cycles in Canada (cost £175!). Bars were swapped for RaceFace’s Atlas Kash Money Gold 760mm to match the frame and really set off the frame.

The frame is a size L (large) rare in metallic bronze/gold and would suit riders 5’10-6’1. The frame bearings were all professionally replaced last year by my local bike shop along with brakes and seatpost service (cost £300) and the gears all indexed and new bottom bracket. Giant only did this colourway in 2014 and it looks totally unique on the trails and bikeparks.

Maintained and upgraded regardless of cost with high-end components throughout. Great, fast bike for all day efforts, bike park laps, local and wild trail riding. Very well maintained, stored indoors. Full spec and more details below. It’s just had a brand new Nobby Nic Tubeless fitted to the front (worth £43) and the rear tyre was last year.

Shimano SLX brakes, gears and derailleur (with on/off clutch) all work perfectly.

I bought this bike brand new in 2015 after a Bikepark visit on my Hardtail. I bought this, used it a few times each year and it has sat in my shed neglected most of that time. It’s picked up scratches from shed-life / bike-racks and not even seen any trails! It needs an owner who will send it on jumps, rock gardens and all the other stuff I never got around to doing.

There are a couple of cable rubs and scratches I’ve shown in pics, but these are minimal - especially for its year.
