I'm getting around to selling my specialized Carve Pro. As mentioned in the title, the fork and derailleur are brand new, everything else works excellently!! I've included details on components below!!
(There's a problem with Pinkbike and it won't let me upload my other photos but if you're interested we can figure it out and I can text or email them etc)

This bike would be great for an experienced rider who is more concerned with the quality of components rather than the aesthetic of the bike but it would also make a fantastic first mountain bike if you're looking to get into the sport!

I bought the bike in 2014 and rode it for about 3 years regularly before I bought a new bike, for the last two years it's been ridden less than 50 miles besides just riding it up and down the street to keep it in good condition. As a downhill and XC racer, I'd say the bike is one of the most capable bikes that I've ridden, it can handle steep downhill trails that I typically ride my Santa Cruz down and it will also fly up whatever climb you throw at it!!

There are signs of wear and tear from riding but that's honestly part of the lifestyle and all components are completely unharmed. I bought the bike for around $2k new and have spent over $2,000 on it since to upgrade components. The main reason I'm selling it is because I'm physically outgrowing it and am also outgrowing the XC riding style and don't need multiple bikes anymore. It's been professionally maintained and won't fail on you.

The reason I'm selling it for so little is because of the wear and overall aesthetic, the bike can easily be given a deep clean and made to look essentially brand new but I don't have much time now to do that!

Overall, I'm sad to see this bike go. I have great memories of shredding everything in UCSC from Mailboxes to Airborne but I hope someone looking to get a high quality bike can pick it up and take care of it. If you're new to mountain biking just let me know and I can give you the run down on basic maintenance and upkeep so you can start doing it all yourself too!!!
---------------------------
The bike looks a little rough but with this setup you won't even care lol below are the components that have been replaced and/or changed from factory: Tires, brakes, chain, derailleur, shifter, cranks, bottom bracket, and fork

Fox Float 29 100mm-- I had the fork fully rebuilt in 2017 ($750 and no rides since then)

Rear Derailleur is a Shimano XT with less than 70 miles on it. I would have preferred to put it on my other bike to keep using but as I said, I find myself with less and less time

Front and rear brakes -- SRAM Avid Elixir 7 Trail, the bike came with the 5s but I put 7 Trails on sometime around 2015. Pads and rotors have been maintained since

Drivetrain -- FULL Shimano XT Drivetrain. Besides the derailleur, I replaced the cassette, cranks, and bottom bracket with Shimano's XT components. Currently the bike runs a KMC 10 speed chain and I also removed the front derailleur and put on a Praxis Narrow wide front chainring (34T)
So the current setup is a full Shimano 1x10 drivetrain, with a brand new Fox Float 29 and with that Praxis narrow wide front ring AND specialized chain guide, there is almost a 0% chance of dropping a chain (trust me I've tried)

If you DON'T like the 1x setup on the drivetrain, I have brand new front chainrings with a derailleur and shifter that I had the shop take off my Bronson before I picked it up, I'd be willing to sell those parts too but honestly the 1x is probably the way to go.

Let me know if you have any questions. I am flexible on the price since I buy bikes too!
