2019 Norco Fluid FS 29 Custom Build

This bike is the definition of the punch-way-above-its-weight, affordable trail bike. It is aggressive and tough, feels way deeper than its travel suggests, and is still a pleasure to pedal. This bike is basically the aluminum version of the BIKE OF THE YEAR, the Norco Optic. My build has very similar geometry. This bike won Bike of the Day (March 20th, 2019) on Vital for it's unique build! The reviewer loved the Fluid when he tested it, so that may have helped my case a bit. I built this rig with durability and descending performance in mind, but it is really great going up or down with great technical climbing ability. Similar to many other short travel rippers, particularly the Smuggler. It can handle both the bike park or rough, techy singletrack with confidence. The bike only has 150 miles on it with only a couple paint chips to show it. The build is as follows:

*Size XL Norco Fluid FS 29 alloy frame with 120mm rear travel (500mm reach, 76° seat tube, 430mm chainstays, 490mm seat tube length, nice-and-low 36mm BB drop) Frame has fully-sanded welds and looks incredibly clean and carbon-like. Frame is protected in critical areas and cables are wrapped for a quiet, solid ride.

*Marzocchi Bomber Z1 fork with 140mm front travel (along with the offset bushings, this gives the bike a 65.5° head angle) This fork transforms the bike! I just serviced the fork and replaced the lowers with a black set ( I have two of these forks and I prefered the red on my other bike)

*Rockshox Deluxe R Debonair rear shock with OFFSET shock bushings to preserve low bottom bracket height with longer fork

*Sram 12 speed drivetrain with GX shifter and derailleur, NX 11-50 tooth cassette (never been used), and 30 tooth NX DUB threaded BB crankset

*WTB i29 wheels with ZERO miles OR barely used Reynolds Black Label 289 Enduro carbon wheels with I9 straight-pull hubs (for an additional $500)

*Enve M6 carbon 780mm handlebars with 50mm alloy stem

*Sram Level T brakes with Koolstop pads and 200mm/180mm rotors front/rear. Very underrated and super consistent brakes.

*Maxxis Minion DHF 3C 2.5 front tire with ZERO miles, Aggressor 2.3 rear tire with a couple rides on it.

*Raceface Aeffect 150mm dropper

*Deity Knuckleduster grips, Norco saddle, MuckyNutz fender, Elite Cannibal bottle cage all included

*Pedals NOT included
