2018 Specialized Epic Carbon Comp with upgrades.

This bike looks like it came off the showroom floor.

I'm the original owner, purchased from VeloScience Bike Works in New Albany, Ohio. It's a 2018 model, purchased at the beginning of 2019 as a left over model. This Epic is the same as the latest models on their website. It doesn't have much use at all because frankly, living in Central Ohio, its not easy to go mountain biking, you have to drive a lot to get to the trails.

As you can see by the photos, it has no scratches, paint chips or blems. Never used in any type of rain or sloppy weather (I don't ride and destroy trails during those conditions). Never used a power washer to clean it and blow out the grease from the bearings. Gently washed, cleaned and lubed after every ride, regardless of conditions. The fork does not have Brain on this version (up to you to decide if that is good or bad). The rear suspension Brain works great, I run on the firmer side of the setting. I'm 6'3" and 150 pounds, so I'm not a clydesdale and not hard on my equipment.

If this is still posted, the bike is still available.

Upgrades that I made:

1) Changed SRAM Level TL brakes to new Shimano XT M8000 (lever, caliper, rotors). So much better modulation and power than SRAM. I put shrink tube on the cables to keep the routing nice and tidy.

2) REBA RL fork, has the same chassis as the SID, but the damper isn’t as nice. So I put the new SID Charger 2 damper in it to replace the Motion Control that came stock. The Charger 2 also allows for Compression damping adjustment, where the stock REBA only has Rebound adjust, no compression adjust. I'll include the new, unused Motion Control damper in the box the Charger 2 came in as well.

3) Added a fork lock-out lever, which is really nice to have when riding on gravel, smooth trail, or climbing for efficiency with zero bob.

4) Added a new OneUp V2 180mm dropper post, with the new OneUp V2 lever. Brand new setup. I have the I-Spec 2 mount for the lever, so it integrates well with the Shimano Brake lever (not a separate clamp like some levers require).
