Very good condition Scott Spark 700SL

The bike has been extremely well looked after and cost nearly £6500 new, I still have original invoice along with user manuals.

Beautiful bike to ride/look at and the weight of the bike (or lack of it) is crazy. Only reason for selling is the fact that the bike does not get used nearly enough to warrant the price I paid nearly 2 years ago

Since owning the bike I have added a set of HT pedals and 2 new Hans Dampf tires (tubeless set-up) and only rode on a couple of times.

Probably better to text the above number if interested or you need more information as I do not have access to my phone during the day due to work reasons.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Heading to BC for the BC Bike Race, or perhaps all the way to South Africa for the Cape Epic stage race? If so, the Scott Spark 700/900 SL should be in your travel case. Ruthlessly efficient XC suspension, ultra light weight, unmatched stiffness, and nearly limitless adjustability to match the course conditions makes either the Spark 700SL or 900SL the perfect weapon for stage race combat.

Whether you choose the efficient 27.5” wheel 700SL with 120mm of travel, or the 900SL with 29” wheels and 100mm of travel, you’ll always have the the right bike for all conditions. Scott’s IMP (Integrated Molding Process) technology and their impressive HMX carbon fiber, a medium frame with swingarm, shock, and hardware comes in at an unheard of 1900gm. The cutting edge molding process delivers more than just light weight, and thanks to the BB92 bottom bracket, and oversized and tapered headset (1 1/8” x 1 1/2”), the frame is also unflinchingly stiff where it matters most. When you launch an attack, or stomp up a climb, all of your power goes into propelling you forward. Dropping your friends on your local trails, or the competition on race day, has never felt easier.

Scott has worked closely with Fox for years now, codeveloping the proprietary Fox Nude CTCD rear shock. With Kashima coating and exclusive Climb- Traction Control- Descend settings, the suspension is always smooth and plush. Paired with the Fox 32 Float Factory CTD Air fork with Kashima coating, with matching 120mm (700SL) or 100mm (900SL) of travel, it delivers balanced performance with minimal weight. Scott’s proprietary TwinLoc suspension remote does more than simply lockout the suspension- with the flip of the switch you can vary bottom bracket height by 6mm, changing the head angle by .5 degree at the same time. Low slung and slack for ripping descents with fully active suspension, or higher and a bit firmer with a more aggressive head angle for technical single track. The HMX carbon rear swingarm is amazingly light and stiff, further eeking out efficiencies in the suspension design. Go up, go down, go fast!

Continuing the theme of lightweight efficiency, the 700/900SL is equipped with a SRAM XX1 1x11 drivetrain. The simplified 1x11 system keeps weight down and headaches non-existent. With a 32-tooth chain ring and 10-42 cassette, you’ll always have the right gear without the fear of front derailleur issues in the heat of competition or in the middle of nowhere on an epic ride. The wide range of gears, even with just a single chainring, means you’ll have every gear you need for ripping the descents or grinding away on climbs into the clouds. Shimano XTR brakes, with 180mm front and 160mm rear Icetech rotors, means you have the benchmark standard for brakes at your fingertips. Superior modulation and lever feel, and unmatched power keep you going the right speed or stopping in time to save your skin.

Finished out with top-shelf parts from legendary MTB component brand Syncros further ensures robust reliability, without a hint of weight penalty. Syncros’ FL1.0 T-Bar carbon flat bar and XR1.0 carbon wrapped alloy stem handle the control center. The FL1.0 carbon seatpost and XR1.0 carbon railed saddle provide a comfortable and worry-free perch. Syncros also provides their carbon rimmed, tubeless ready, XR1.0 wheelset. Built with lightweight and bombproof carbon rims, laced up to DT Swiss built hubs with DT Swiss Aero Comp spokes, the XR1.0 wheelset spins up to speed quickly. The wheels are as durable as they are light, which says a lot about their strength. Shod with Schwalbe Thunder Burt EVO tubeless easy tires, you can always grip it and rip it!

With so many features- and so little weight- it’s no mystery why the Scott Spark 700/900SL is such a favorite among XC, marathon, and stage race riders. Regardless of wheelsize, you’ll have the perfect balance of light weight, suspension efficiency, and power transfer. Always.
